1-3-4. Switched Reluctance Motor

The switched reluctance motor (hereinafter referred to as the SRM) uses a stator of concentrated winding (Fig. 1.21) and a salient-poled lamination rotor (Fig. 1.22).

SRMs are variable speed motors that have a simple and robust structure.
