Nidec-Shimpo was established in April 1952 in Kyoto as Japan's first "continuously variable transmission" manufacturer.
Through our continued efforts to refine technology since our foundation, the company has established a world-leading position in the "traction technology area." We have won the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers Prize three times as well as a range of other invention awards that endorse the technological capacity of the company.
Today, we operate in the global market for power transmission drives specializing in servo motors and high-precision automatic press machines along with measuring instruments and pottery equipment.
