Quality Improvement Activities

As the manufacturing industry is making advanced developments every year, more thorough quality control is required. Although it is becoming more common for companies to implement ISO 9000 series, we enforced thorough quality control based on TQC ahead of other companies. Thus, we won the Deming Application Prize for Small Enterprise in 1969. Since then, we have persecuted to the belief "never make any complaints due to product quality," and all of our departments have organized the management system by means of statistical method. Through the steady implementation of the Deming Cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Action) and continued efforts to tackle day-to-day challenges in terms of costs, service, and speed, we strive to improve the quality of our products, company, and employees, so that we can make products that satisfy our customers.

"Product Quality", "Company Quality", "Employee Quality." Nidec DriveTechnology believes that not only the product quality but also the company quality and the employee quality matter. These qualities are the foundation of multifaceted quality improvements.

P.D.C.A. Deming Cycle

The Deming Prize is one of the highest awards on TQM(Total Quality Management) in the world. It was established by JUSE (Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers) in 1951 in commemoration of the late Dr. William Edwards Deming who contributed greatly to Japan's proliferation of statistical quality control.

Quality policy

Always act from the customer's viewpoint, and provide products and services of quality that satisfy customers' needs. Utilize the quality management system effectively and promote the continuous improvement. Share the quality policy within the organization, and disclose it on demand from outsiders.
