Business Summary

Body Control

Body control module (BCM)

The BCM, which is connected with sensors and electrical units installed in a car via a communication line, controls the vehicle while coordinating numbers of inputs and outputs in a sophisticated way. This module controls, for example, wipers, winkers, and power sources when starting the car's engine.

Power window switch (PWS) with an anti-pinching function

This product, the PWS with an anti-pinching function, secures safety of a car's passengers by automatically lowering a window when someone pinches his/her hand as it moves up, and keeping a car's windows open for a certain length of time when a car sinks in water.

Security entry products

These products include one with which the driver can lock and unlock his/her vehicle only by holding the car's steering wheel (not using a key), the PEPS system which enables the driver to start his/her car's engine only by pressing a switch, and an anti-theft immobilizer.

All of these products were created based on the electric wave sensing technology, one of OMRON'S core technologies. We must accommodate electric waves, which are different among vehicles, and meet individual countries' legal requirements, while securing the performance of functions. We are creating electric wave-based products for two-wheel vehicles and new functions as well.
