Nidec’s advanced E-Axle technology and its venture into aerospace business

At this upcoming exhibit, Nidec will showcase a test vehicle equipped with a 150kW E-Axle, a
magnet-free, high-performance, next-generation drive system that the company is developing
based on NEDO’s Green Innovation Fund. Also on display will be an actual 150kW E-Axle unit,
which is the core of the vehicle, a mockup of an inverter for 90kW-class models (which are
expected to sell the most in the market), and major components such as induction motors
and planetary gears.
Eying the aerospace business as well, Nidec will exhibit a 220kW eVTOL motor and compact,
lightweight, and high-efficiency drone ESCs equipped with next-generation power
semiconductors – some of the Nidec Group’s products to show its comprehensive strength –
to showcase Nidec’s diverse technological capabilities that go beyond EV.

Integrated solutions to support the xEV development

TECHNO x FRONTIER 2026 will witness Nidec Advance Technology show a special display of a
world-leading, 36,000rpm-responsive next-generation motor bench, together with a
compact bench system that will open the way to new areas of mobility.
In addition, with a “reference inverter” that can conduct assessment to prior to the completion
of an inverter, and “consignment testing and rental services” to reduce capital expenditure, the
company will offer a consistent support system that links a customer’s entire development
process with data. Also on display will be power semiconductor-related products such as the
“NATS®” series, which support the latest SiC/IGBT device assessment.
