2000Ansaldo Sistemi Industriali (ASI), the Industrial branch of Ansaldo, is privatised and begins collaboration with Robicon (USA) under the name ASIRobicon. Ansaldo Sistemi Industriali changes its name to ASIRobicon SpA.
2005ASI ends collaboration with Robicon and becomes “a Lynn Tilton Company”.
2006ASIRobicon SpA changes its name back to Ansaldo Sistemi Industriali SpA.
2012Nidec acquires Ansaldo Sistemi Industriali SpA. which becomes Nidec ASI S.p.A. Nidec acquires Avtron Industrial Automation to expand industrial platform.
2015Nidec ASI acquires Motortecnica to expand service.
2017Nidec Corporation further expands its industrial platform with the acquistion of the motors, drives and electric power generation businesses of Emerson Electric Co. The Automation Solutions business becomes part of Nidec Industrial Solutions.
