1970The 13th capital increase was implemented. (New capital increased to ¥3 billion.)
1974Developed and started to sell a high-speed finisher which was displayed at the 3rd Japan International Textile Machine Exhibition.
1977Developed the MCV-500 machining center.
1979Signed a technology transfer contract with Chindasook Commercial Co., Ltd. of Thailand for the manufacture of the bottom case of our water meter.
1981Shipped our 1,000th MCV-500 machining center.
1982Developed and displayed a Flexible Manufacturing System at the 11th Japan International Machine Tool Show. Started to market a highly reputed FMS the same year.
1988Signed a technical assistance contract with Samsung Shipbuilding & Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. for six different vertical and horizontal machining centers.
1989Established a subsidiary in Thailand to procure cast iron, a major material for machine tools.
1990The median price share issue was implemented. (New capital increased to ¥5,281,433,680.)
1991Tokyo Technical Center completed.
1995Established TIANJIN OKK MACHINERY CO., LTD., in China as an export foothold to increase our share of the Chinese market as well as the international market of textile machinery.
1998Received order for 49 units of Horizontal Machining Center from automobile-parts manufacturer in North America.
1999Certified according to ISO 9001.
2004Moved the head office from Osaka City to Itami City in Hyogo Prefecture.
Issued the first debenture/convertible bond type corporate debentures with preemptive rights amounting to ¥1 billion.
2005Technical Center completed.
2006Established a machine tool sales office (OKK (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.) in China.
2007Certified according to ISO 14001.
2010Established a machine tool sales office (OKK CORPORATION SEOUL BRANCH) in Korea.
2012Established a machine tool sales office (PT. OKK INDONESIA) in Indonesia.
2014Completed new Plant M.
2015100th Anniversary, Japanese company name changed to OKK Kabushiki-Kaisha.
