Challenging Process Transformation: The Drive for Precision
Q. What specific challenges or bottlenecks did you face in your production process before introducing the GE20A?
Prior to this installation, we finished gear parts using a traditional shaving process. However, to stay competitive in an evolving market, we recognized the need to push the boundaries of our
manufacturing capabilities.
We also evaluated gear grinding as an option but found it was not economical for our batch production volumes.

Q. How do you evaluate the results compared to your initial expectations?
Although this was our first time introducing a CNC hobbing machine, we are very satisfied with both the machine’s performance and the service support.

By introducing the GE20A with its hard hobbing capability, we have achieved a consistent leap in gear precision, reaching our target of DIN 7 grade.

This transformation enabled us to eliminate the shaving process entirely, significantly simplifying our manufacturing flow and improving overall efficiency.

The machine features an intuitive conversational screen and has remained trouble-free in daily operation.

The comprehensive training provided—especially the specialized familiarization for hard hobbing—helped our operators quickly become proficient with the new process.
