Our company is amid a fundamental strengthening of our management infrastructure, including corporate culture, systems, and processes. We believe it to be the first step in re-defining Nidec to identify all issues in our company and face them head-on.

In everything we do, we must treat all of our stakeholders with sincerity. We will return to basics and launch a governance (accounting, quality, etc.) reform to re-define the Nidec Group in corporate culture and all the other areas.

Response Based on the Third-Party Committee’s Investigation Results on Accounting

On February 27, 2026, Nidec Corporation (“Nidec” or the “Company”) received an investigation report from the Third-Party Committee, an independent body launched on September 3, 2025, regarding suspected inappropriate accounting practices conducted at the Company and other Nidec Group companies.
After receiving this report and based on the results of our internal investigations, we disclosed and implemented the revised version of the improvement plan.

Suspicion was raised over part of the products manufactured by Nidec Corporation and other Nidec Group companies – their components/materials, processes, designs, etc. may have been changed without checking by our customers. To address this issue, our investigation committee will conduct thorough investigations, while we launch an improvement promotion headquarters to communicate with our customers timely, and discuss and execute effective recurrence prevention measures.
