Nidec Corporation (TSE: 6594; OTC US: NJDCY) (the “Company” or “Nidec”) announced today that the Nidec Group has received a Bosch Global Supplier Award from Germany’s Robert Bosch GmbH, a global supplier of technology and services, in the “Purchasing of direct materials – Consumer Goods” category. This is the second time for our Group to receive this Award since 2017, when we were selected for the Award in the “Electronics and Electromechanics” category
The Bosch Global Supplier Award is given every two years to suppliers that demonstrated excellent performance especially in relation to quality, cost, innovation, and logistics in the areas of raw materials, products, and services. In the 17th Award in 2021, presented for the performance in 2019 and 2020, 46 out of approximately 23,000 suppliers were selected.
This Award is a recognition of our group-wide systematic support as “One Nidec,” including the supply of products for home appliances by our Small Precision Motor & Solutions Business Unit, Nidec Sankyo Corporation, Nidec Global Appliance Compressor, and other organizations to BSH (Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH), a Bosch Group company.
