Information Security
Basic stance
The Nidec Group possesses information that is necessary for conducting its business activities, including not only the information produced or gathered within the Group but also information provided by
its business partners. We understand that it is very important to protect and use these information assets properly and appropriately. Information that should be protected includes management information,
technical information, financial information and personal information, which are extremely important. Deterioration or leakage of any such information may lead to loss of trust in us from our customers or
the market, as well as a decline in our competitiveness. It may also result in a legal penalty.
We have established rules and frameworks for information security management within our group, clearly defining responsibilities. By identifying and evaluating evolving and increasing information security
risks, and implementing effective measures tailored to these risks, we are committed to preventing the occurrence of major security incidents.

Promoting High-Level Standardization
As we promote dynamic business restructuring and the consolidation of our bases under the Medium-Term Management Plan. In this process, the sharing of information infrastructure and assets among previously independent group companies will naturally occur. Given the nature of information security, robust areas cannot compensate for weaker ones, and vulnerabilities have the potential to negatively affect other areas. To address this, we are pursuing a group-wide, global initiative to eliminate all potential weak points. Specifically, we will continue conducting information security assessments and audits across all group locations, ensuring the thorough implementation of corrective measures to achieve high-level standardization.
Strengthening Response Capabilities for Emergencies
In alignment with the Mid-Term Management Plan, we are committed to ensuring that information security incidents do not disrupt business operations and that, in the event of an incident, rapid recovery measures are in place. Through various training programs, we aim to enhance employees' sensitivity and awareness regarding information security, preventing incidents and damage before they occur. Furthermore, we are continuously improving our response systems, including initial actions within and outside the organization in case of an attack, to ensure business continuity, fulfill our responsibility to supply products to the market, and support the growth of our business.
