Constant-power characteristics
In electric vehicle motors, it is desirable to have T/N characteristics where the product of torque and speed, (power, mechanical output) becomes constant. The illustration below displays constant-torque characteristics from the start to a certain speed called the base speed, and the output is constant between the base speed and the maximum speed.
